  • David Lara

    Chief Executive Officer

    After addiction took my little brother’s life, I wanted to help others but didn’t know what that meant. I shared our story at a treatment center, and this is where sharing your story on a hat began.

    David received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. David has been a loan officer, in the residential lending environment, helping his clients secure financing for 23 years.

  • Jason Fleming

    Chief Financial Officer

    I believe in 34 Stitches’ creative approach to building a line of communication with youth and others that are burdened with addiction, depression, and the effects of personal trauma.

    Jason Fleming is a licensed Realtor® and CPA ("inactive" license status) with over 25 years of combined "Big 4" public accountancy, finance, business consulting, and real estate experience. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton. Prior to entering the residential real estate industry, Jason served as President of a finance and accounting-focused consulting practice he co-founded in 2007. The firm served a wide range of clients from early stage to Fortune 500 companies in the Southern California region.

  • Paul Gates

    Secretary

    A life-changing experience with a man named Willy, who was living on the streets of San Francisco, thrust Paul into a life of serving people struggling in isolation on the streets.

    Paul is the Executive Director for the River of Life Mission in Honolulu, Hawaii. Paul was born in Papua New Guinea as the son of missionary parents, preparing him for the jungles of life. Paul has spent most of his career working in the non-profit environment.

  • Salina Shuler

    In my many years of working in the clinical field, I have found that empathy and understanding are two of the most important facets of connection. Salina's deep passion, for those hurting, allows her to help others who struggle loving themselves.

    Salina Shuler is the President, CEO, of South Orange County Detox and Treatment located in San Clemente, CA. Salina has diverse clinical experience in working with people suffering from severe and persistent mental illness, dual diagnosis, chemical dependency to conducting 5150 Hospitalizations and AB3632 Evaluations. Salina received a Honorary Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Chapman University in 1997 and a Master’s Degree from University of Southern California in Social Work with an emphasis on Mental Health in 1999. Additionally, she has experience as a National Drug and Alcohol Interventionist as well completing 2-years of specialized Gestalt Therapy training with Effective Institute of Psychotherapy.

  • Krisy Zweigle

    Director

    Aaron is my brother, and I am all in for helping others touched by addiction.

    Krisy has been a principal owner of several businesses over the past 30 years. She has partnered in a residential real estate and real estate investment firm that assisted buyers and sellers with retail purchases and sales. Her company also purchased, renovated & sold real estate investments. Krisy is currently partnered in a residential rooftop solar company. She is responsible for managing the internal processes of the business - customer acquisition, business finances and customer service. She has performed as the CFO in all her endeavors for the past 30 years.
